In the heart of Bergen City, an incident unfolded on Celler Street late on Sunday night. The Volunteer Fire Department of the City of Bergen was alerted to the scene at 23:23, with the local fire department, the police, and the local water authority joining forces to address the situation.

The incident involved a truck whose diesel tank was damaged, resulting in the leak of approximately 500 liters of diesel fuel. To prevent the fuel from spreading and causing further harm, firefighters and the hazardous materials unit worked swiftly to erect barriers using oil-binding agents.

The hazardous materials unit of the city fire department and the local water authority played crucial roles in containing the leaking fuel. The firefighters' quick action ensured that the fuel did not spread beyond the initial site of the incident.

After the containment, a specialized company was called to clean the affected area, ensuring the safety of the local community. The leaking fuel was contained by the firefighters and the hazardous materials unit, and no further incidents were reported.
