Collision Involving E-scooter and Omnibus at a Red Light Leaves Pedestrian and Elderly Woman Hurt, As Incident Occurred Off-Road
In a series of unfortunate events, several traffic accidents have been reported across Reutlingen and its surrounding areas. Here's a rundown of the incidents that occurred on Wednesday morning.
In Reutlingen, a 30-year-old man was injured while riding an E-scooter through a red pedestrian and bicycle traffic light on Bantlinstraße around 7 a.m. The man was taken to a clinic for treatment by the rescue service.
Meanwhile, in Aichtal, an E-scooter rider collided with a Toyota that was turning right from the bike lane, driven by a 29-year-old woman. The rider sustained minor injuries and was taken to a hospital for treatment. The woman, however, only suffered minor injuries due to her sudden braking.
A pedestrian, a 54-year-old man, was hit on the side by a bus in an incident that took place on Gutenbergstraße in Metzingen. The man was taken to a hospital with minor injuries. Fortunately, the other passengers on the bus remained uninjured.
In a more serious incident, a 75-year-old woman was injured in a bus accident on the L1185 from Nürtingen towards Aichtal at approximately 9:10 a.m. The bus was driven by a 53-year-old man. According to initial findings, the pedestrian was guiding a forklift while it was maneuvering at the time of the accident.
Elsewhere, in Zwiefalten, there was a report of a vehicle off the road, but no further details were provided.
