Collision Involving Police Car
In the heart of Gelsenkirchen-Altstadt, a shocking incident unfolded on July 12, when a head-on collision occurred at the intersection of Ringstraße and Wildenbruchstraße.
The collision involved a 22-year-old Gelsenkirchen resident driving a convertible and a police patrol car. As a result, seven people were unfortunately injured: four occupants of the convertible and three occupants of the police vehicle.
The accident scene was chaotic, with the convertible and the police patrol car showing signs of extensive damage. An accident investigation team from the Dortmund police was swiftly dispatched to the site to begin their work.
The intersection was closed for several hours to allow the investigation team to carry out their duties. The cause of the accident is still under investigation, with the head of the investigation unit for the traffic accident in Gelsenkirchen-Altstadt yet to be specified.
