In the quiet town of Hürth, an unexpected incident occurred on September 3rd that has left the community in shock. Two motorcycle riders were involved in an accident at the Rodenkirchener Straße and "Im Feldrain" roundabout.

According to the Rhein-Erft-Kreis Police, the accident took place in the afternoon due to an oil spill on the roundabout's carriageway and along "Im Feldrain" street. The 37-year-old rider on a Honda followed the same route and, remarkably, managed to avoid any serious harm. However, the 61-year-old rider on a Piaggio slipped and fell on the slippery surface, sustaining minor injuries.

The Rhein-Erft-Kreis Police have launched an investigation into the accident and are seeking witnesses to provide any information they might have. Tips can be provided by phone or email. For press inquiries, the police can be reached at 02271 81-3305, fax: 02271 81-3309, or by email at [email protected].

The scene of the accident was cordoned off during the investigation, and the fire department was called to absorb the oil spill. The person responsible for the oil spill is being urged to come forward. As of now, the individual has not been publicly identified.

The Rhein-Erft-Kreis Police recorded the accident and filed a traffic accident report. They remind all road users to exercise caution and to report any hazardous conditions to the authorities.
