Collision on Theater Street: Three Individuals Sustain Injuries

On September 2, 2025, at approximately 5:25 PM, a traffic accident occurred at the intersection of Borngasse/Theaterstraße in Aachen. The incident involved three road users: a 72-year-old driver, a 60-year-old cyclist, and a 49-year-old cyclist.

According to the Police Aachen Press Office, which conducted the accident investigation, the 49-year-old cyclist was riding along Theaterstraße when a collision occurred between the two road users. The driver, due to a medical emergency, drove off and collided with the cyclist in front of him.

The 49-year-old cyclist was severely injured with shoulder injuries and scrapes and was taken to the hospital. The 60-year-old cyclist was slightly injured in the accident. Both cyclists were taken to the hospital as a result of the accident.

The car involved in the accident stopped at the opposite corner of a house, pushing the bicycle against the wall. The intersection was closed to vehicle traffic for approximately two hours due to the accident.

A screen was set up for the accident investigation at the intersection of Borngasse/Theaterstraße. The accident investigation took place at the same location where the traffic accident occurred.
