Article Title: Exploring the Rich History and Culture of Haunzenbergersoell and Vilsbiburg
In the charming town of Haunzenbergersoell and the medieval city of Vilsbiburg, Bavaria, Germany, a host of cultural and historical experiences await visitors.
Haunzenbergersoell
The Protected Historic Village Center of Haunzenbergersoell, with its two 18th-century houses forming the oldest preserved building fabric, offers a glimpse into the past. On the Day of Open Heritage, visitors can explore this picturesque village for free. Guided tours are available, offering views into residential areas and backyards, and the starting point for these tours is the former bakery at the village square.
This year, the village festival will celebrate the 50th anniversary of the local history and gardening association. Additionally, the tradition of the hofmärkish craft settlement is reflected in the urban appearance of the buildings west of the two small houses in Haunzenbergersoell, which were rebuilt in consciously historicizing forms after a devastating fire in 1902.
Vilsbiburg
Archaeological excavations are currently underway in Vilsbiburg, conducted by the district archaeology on behalf of the town. The excavation site, located near the late medieval Vilsbiburg city wall, has revealed traces of 800 years of Vilsbiburg's history. On the Day of Open Heritage, the public will have a unique opportunity to visit this site from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, with tours offered at 2:30 PM and 3:30 PM.
The Lower Heritage Protection Authority of the Landshut district will present an exhibition of various heritage protection projects in the area of the Vilsbiburg old town. Furthermore, the Vilsbiburg local history association will present the results of its research, particularly on nutrition in medieval Vilsbiburg.
The Artist's House and the Estate in Ganslberg

The Artist's House Ganslberg, located at Ganslberg 24, Altdorf, was built in the 1960s in the style of a Lower Bavarian farmhouse.
