Commission Proposes Directive to Safeguard Workers from Radiation Hazards

On Thursday, October 10th, the career information centre (BiZ) Wuppertal will host a lecture providing insights into training opportunities with the police forces in North Rhine-Westphalia (NRW) and the Federal Police. The event, taking place in Bergisches Land, will feature presentations at 14:30 and 16:00.

At 14:30, Alina Neuhaus, the recruitment advisor for the police in NRW, will discuss the admission requirements and training contents of the higher police service. Following this, at 16:00, Britta Rentmeister, the recruitment advisor of the Federal Police, will provide information about the training and career opportunities of the Federal Police.

Both police forces offer diverse tasks and encourage young women to apply. The Federal Police, formerly known as the Federal Border Guard, secures the borders of the Federal Republic of Germany by land, water, and air, and also has an air service that transports state guests. Officers of the Federal Police also take care of security at airports and train stations.

Police officers work in teams and deal with people, maintaining order and security, protecting life, freedom, and property, and clarifying crimes and traffic violations. In NRW, the police training requires either an Abitur or Fachhochschulreife. The Federal Police offers a 2.5-year training in the middle service and a 3-year training in the higher service.

Both students with intermediate education (Fachhochschulreife) or Abitur, as well as people with already completed vocational training, are sought. The age limit for the middle service is 27 years old, and for the higher service, it is 31 years old.

After the presentations, Mrs. Neuhaus from the police in NRW and Mrs. Rentmeister from the Federal Police will be available for a personal conversation. Questions about the event can be answered by the employees of the BiZ by phone at 0202 / 2828 - 460.

The lecture is part of a series of events aimed at providing information about dual study program opportunities with the police in NRW. The Federal Police, with its famous special unit "GSG 9", offers a rewarding career for those interested in public service and making a difference. Don't miss this opportunity to learn more about joining these esteemed forces.
