A 45-year-old Syrian national was arrested at Frankfurt Airport on August 21st, 2025, by the Federal Police. The arrest was based on a wanted notice issued by the Foreigners' Authority in Bielefeld due to an existing ban on entry and residence.
The man, who had previously been convicted of forgery, was wanted for violating the residence ban. He arrived at Frankfurt Airport from Athens/Greece. Upon his arrest, he was fined €1,050 for the forgery conviction and paid procedural costs of €1,139.50.
