Commission to Unveil Findings from Consultation Process
As the school year draws to a close and summer vacation approaches, the workshop team is ensuring that the learning continues. They have been sharing valuable tips with future teachers on how to help students detect Deepfakes, a crucial skill in today's digital world where images, videos, and audios shape school life significantly.
The workshop, titled "Become a Deepfake Detective: Examining AI-generated Misinformation," was held at the Chalk Dust Festival in Leipzig. It was a popular event, quickly booking out, indicating the growing importance of this topic.
Joscha Falck, in his text contribution for the workshop, identified nine AI paradoxes in schools. Meanwhile, Judith Simon explains the fourfold deception of AI, including Deepfakes, in a reel. The series of Reels on the topic of Deepfakes produced by the workshop team aims to provide a comprehensive understanding of this complex issue.
A reel titled "Do AI Detectors Work?" summarizes all important information on this topic. However, it's unclear how AI detectors work and what their supposedly accurate results mean. This is a paradox that Joscha Falck also highlighted in his text.
Institutions like the Portuguese University of Aveiro, ENAIP Veneto, the Greek-Italian Chamber of Commerce in Thessaloniki, ASOFUER Fuerteventura, and VET providers involved in projects such as prompts2teach, Synergies4VET, and HOGAnet4VET are intended to develop or use AI tools within educational collaboration. Their focus is on integrating AI into vocational education and training across Europe.
As we bid farewell to the last day of school for some, it's essential to remember that the fight against digital deception is an ongoing one. The workshop team will continue to provide information about digital education during the school-free time, ensuring that the learning never stops.
The workshop team wishes a sunny time for everyone during the summer vacation. May it be filled with learning, growth, and a deeper understanding of the digital world.
