Commission's Involvement in Various Affairs
In the heart of Detmold, the city is taking strides to engage its senior citizens, and on August 30, an important event will take place. The Senior Citizens' Information Meeting will be held at the bakery Wester's Backfuchs, Am Plass 2.
This meeting is a part of the city's ongoing efforts to support and involve senior citizens in its community. Senior citizens in Detmold significantly contribute to the city's social life, participating in clubs, sharing experiences in neighborhoods, and utilising city centre offers.
Mayor Frank Hilker will present the results of the current senior citizens' survey during the meeting. Ingrid Dannhäuser and Marion Kettelhake will also inform attendees about the work of the Senior Citizens' Council.
The meeting will not be connected to the Senior Citizens' Café or the guided tour through Bentrup-Loßbruch. However, a small guided tour through Bentrup-Loßbruch is planned for a later date.
Interested parties can meet members of the Senior Citizens' Council and employees of the Senior Citizens' Work of the city portal for personal exchange at the meeting. The Senior Citizens' Café offers will be discussed, providing valuable insights for senior citizens in the city.
Urban development in Detmold takes into account the needs and suggestions of senior citizens, as demonstrated in current projects like the establishment of a new pick-up and drop-off zone in the city centre. The meeting will offer a platform for senior citizens to voice their opinions and ideas.
The Senior Citizens' Information Meeting at Wester's Backfuchs will take place from 11 AM to 1 PM. Please note that this meeting is not related to the Senior Citizens' Information Meeting held at Paulinenstraße 65 or the event that ends around 4 PM at the community center "Alte Schule".
Join us on August 30 for a productive and engaging discussion about the future of senior citizens in Detmold.
