Company Amiblu joins UNESCO's World Engineering Day 2025 promotion efforts

Amiblu, a leading authority in the glass-fibre reinforced plastic pipes industry, has been selected as an official partner for the UNESCO World Engineering Day for Sustainable Development (WED) 2025. This year-long campaign, themed "Shaping our sustainable future through engineering", aims to put engineering in the global spotlight.

The WED campaign, jointly operated by UNESCO and the World Federation for Engineering Organizations (WFEO), has an estimated global reach of over 100 million individuals. The campaign consists of a series of events, films, articles, and news, highlighting the achievements of engineers and engineering around the world.

Jacques de Mereuil, Executive Director of the WFEO, expressed his excitement about the involvement in launching the WED international celebration and campaign. The launch took place at UNESCO Headquarters in Paris on 4 March 2025. Mustafa B. Shehu, President of the WFEO, stated that the day highlights how engineers are leading the way in meeting UN's Sustainable Development Goal targets.

The company has recently achieved a low-carbon GRP pipe that can significantly reduce CO emissions across water and energy infrastructure projects.
