Carrier Expands Presence in Central Europe with Acquisition of Blaich Automation
In a strategic move to broaden its reach in the European market, Carrier, a leading global provider of innovative heating, ventilating, and air conditioning (HVAC), refrigeration, fire, security, and building automation technologies, has acquired Blaich Automation GmbH.
Based in Germany, Blaich Automation specializes in customized processes for industrial clients' plant, building, and media technology. Founded by Daniel Blaich, the company offers a comprehensive range of services including concept development, engineering, implementation, and long-term support.
The acquisition is expected to strengthen Automated Logic's presence in the industrial sector of Central Europe. Automated Logic, a Carrier company, provides energy management solutions based on the BACnet communication protocol, optimizing and managing systems such as HVAC, lighting, fire safety, elevators, and security on a single platform.
With the acquisition, Carrier has established the first Automated Logic branch in Germany at its headquarters in Leinfelden-Echterdingen. This new branch will provide integrated, intelligent building solutions, further enhancing Carrier's ability to deliver customized energy management solutions.
Karl Boerner, Managing Director Central Europe at Carrier, commented on the acquisition, "We are excited to welcome Blaich Automation to the Carrier family. This acquisition is strategic for us to strengthen Automated Logic's presence in Central Europe and expand our services in the industrial sector."
The acquisition is part of Carrier's larger strategy to expand its operations in Germany and enhance its ability to deliver integrated, intelligent building solutions. The expanded services are expected to be particularly beneficial in high-performance, demanding sectors.
"We believe that the combination of Blaich Automation's expertise and Carrier's global resources will create significant value for our clients in Germany and across Central Europe," Boerner added.
The acquisition of Blaich Automation is expected to contribute to Carrier's ongoing efforts to broaden its reach in the European market and provide innovative solutions to meet the evolving needs of its clients.
