The city of Dresden is gearing up for an exciting four-day event, as the FINALS 2025 takes place from July 31 to August 3, 2025. Sports enthusiasts from around the country are invited to attend the German Championships for 20 summer sports, including archery, fencing, triathlon, basketball, lacrosse, badminton, and athletics.

For those planning to attend, it is recommended to travel by bus and train due to temporary closures on Theaterplatz and Augustus Bridge on July 31, August 2, and August 3. The competitions will take place at nine sports venues in the city center, with the main action happening at the Heinz-Steyer Stadium, the Sportpark Ostra, JOYNEXT Arena, Teamsport Arena, and BallsportARENA.

The Sportpark Ostra will also be home to the Finals Park, an area filled with interactive activities for all ages. Sports enthusiasts can look forward to trying out various sports and games, while clubs, associations, and institutions from the region will be present, inviting participation.

For those interested in badminton, tickets can be purchased online under events.vereinsticket.de. The German Team Championship in badminton will take place in the BallsportARENA on Sunday, 3 August. Tickets are still available for this event, as well as for the multi-event competitions and the 5,000 meters on Thursday and Friday.

Admission is free in the stands on Thursday and Friday, and on Sunday, 3 August, the badminton event can be visited free of charge. For other events, such as the athletics competitions in the Heinz-Steyer-Stadion on Saturday, tickets have already been sold out, but there are still tickets available for Sunday.

Tickets for individual days, season tickets, and combination tickets can be purchased online at www.ticket-onlineshop.com. Other sports venues are located at the Frauenkirche, on the Elbe riverbank, at the Semperoper, in the Hafencity, and at the Alberthafen.

Many competitions, including Breaking, 3x3 basketball, speed climbing in front of the Frauenkirche, archery, and the finish of the triathlon in front of the Semperoper, can be visited free of charge. Canoeing, stand-up paddling in the Hafencity, rowing in the Alberthafen, coastal rowing at the Canaletto view, as well as 7-a-desportes-multidisciplinaires-7-a-side-rugby, Faustball & Wowball, flag football, and lacrosse in the Teamsport Arena can also be visited without an entrance ticket.

For those who wish to attend the fencing competitions with foil, sabre, and ÊpÊe, tickets are required and can be purchased online.
