Concert featuring K-pop stars held in Berlin.
K-pop sensation Enhypen made a memorable debut in Germany with a two-and-a-half-hour concert titled Walk the Line at the Uber Arena in Berlin. The septet, which includes members Heeseung (23), Jay (23), Jake (22), Sunghoon (22), Sunoo (22), Jungwon (21), and Ni-ki (19), showcased their theatricality and visual effects in a captivating performance.
Enhypen, who debuted in 2020 under the Korean music label BELIFT LAB, part of the multimedia conglomerate HYBE, has achieved international success over the past five years. They have performed at the prestigious Coachella music festival in 2025 and embarked on their first European tour, starting with Berlin.
The concert was a special occasion for the group as it was their first in Germany. They made an effort to use German pleasantries to show recognition to their local fans, known as Engenes. The Engenes, who are a significant part of Enhypen's success, were present at the Uber Arena plaza before the concert, giving away handmade bracelets, keychains, and photo cards to other fans.
During the concert, Engenes sang along to all 24 songs and performed a unified fan chant for the members of Enhypen. The crowd was particularly captivated by songs from their latest album, Desire: Unleash. The thematic focus of the album is desire and physical closeness, reminiscent of emo-pop icons like Edward Cullen from "Twilight", "Tanz der Vampire", or "Nosferatu". The show featured dark storytelling worlds, with the septet portraying roles such as vampires, priests, and cursed princes.
Enhypen changed into five different costumes throughout the evening. Jake, a member of Enhypen, is credited as a songwriter on "Shout Out". Ni-ki, another member, is known as one of the strongest dancers in K-Pop. Heeseung, yet another member, has perfect pitch and hits every note.
Video installations and practical effects like fog, fire, and spark fountains were used to enhance the theatricality of the performance. "Walk the Line" is one of the biggest hits of Enhypen, and it was clear that the audience was thoroughly enjoying the concert.
The founder of the Korean music label BELIFT LAB, which includes Enhypen, is Bang Si-hyuk. Enhypen's lyrics, such as "Bad Desire", depict a masculinity that dances between vulnerable openness and aggressive seduction. The concert in Berlin was a testament to Enhypen's talent, theatrics, and the strong bond they share with their fans, the Engenes.
