HAECO Engine Services (Xiamen) has announced the completion of its Phase 2 building in 2011, marking a significant milestone in its growth. The new facility, spanning 4,420 sqm and boasting a total floor area of 10,015 sqm across two levels, is strategically located next to the existing Phase 2 building.

The expansion is aimed at increasing capacity and enabling HAECO Engine Services (Xiamen) to develop capabilities for both current and next-generation engines. Simon Smith, the director and general manager of HAECO Engine Services (Xiamen), expressed his enthusiasm for the new facility, stating that it reflects HAECO's commitment to innovation and sustainable development.

The new facility will support the overhaul, testing, and repair of additional engine types, including GP7200, CF34-10A, and the latest GE9X engine. This expansion comes after HAECO secured a position within the global MRO network for the GE9X engine.

In 2024, HAECO extended the GE90 GE Branded Service Agreement (GBSA) and Offload Agreement for GE engines through 2040, further solidifying its partnership with GE. Sandra Nieuwenhuijzen, the Group Director of Component and Engine Services at HAECO, highlighted the strategic investment as a testament to HAECO's long-term vision in the global aviation industry.

The facility will feature energy-efficient LED lighting and a solar panel system, aligning with HAECO's commitment to sustainability. The construction of the new facility is expected to be completed by Q4 of 2026, at which point HAECO Engine Services (Xiamen) will be well-positioned to scale up support for its customers across a diverse range of product lines.

HAECO Engine Services (Xiamen) has been a licensed GE90 Service Provider since its inception, and this expansion is set to strengthen its position in the market. The company remains committed to meeting its customers' evolving demands with cutting-edge solutions and operational excellence.
