In a significant move towards a greener future, the Annopol I wind farm project has been financed by PKO Bank Polski, with OX2, an international power producer, leading the way. This project is one of OX2's many endeavours, contributing to their extensive portfolio of 25,526 MW in various stages of development across nine markets.

The multidisciplinary team from global law firm X, under the supervision of energy and project finance partner Tomasz Rogalski, advised on the project. Partner Arturo Sferruzza, senior associate Igor Kondratowicz-Laderski, and lawyer Regan Eastwood from the Milan office, along with partner Kumaran Thavarajah and associate Markus Ulrik Leding from Kromann Reumert, provided their expertise on English and Danish law aspects, respectively.

The Annopol I onshore wind farm, located in the Gościeradów municipality, Lubelskie Voivodship, will have a total capacity of 40 MW. The project involved complex, multi-jurisdictional structures and various financing facilities, with the finance workstream led by Tomasz Rogalski and associate Karolina Lepakiewicz. Counsel Krzysztof Gorzelak and lawyer Antoni Krzyżanowski advised on the hedging aspects of the project.

The legal due diligence workstream was led by counsel Cezary Zawiślak, with associate Martyna Orłowska and lawyers Nina Strzelczyk and Mikołaj Rydzewski contributing to the process. The globally operating law firm Dentons advised on the EUR 90 million financing of the Annopol I solar power project in Poland for PKO Bank Polski.

The Annopol I wind farm project underscores the growing role of green transition financing in the region.

OX2, which has been accelerating the energy transition since 2004, offers end-to-end solutions for projects, from planning and construction to sale and operation. The Annopol I wind farm project is yet another testament to their commitment to a greener future.
