Expansion of Fiber Optic Network Begins in Buchenbronn
Starting on Tuesday, May 30, 2023, the town of Buchenbronn will see the commencement of a significant construction project aimed at expanding its fiber optic network. Pforzheim Stadtwerke, the responsible entity for this work, will oversee the project.
The construction work will initially begin on the Westring, extending along Pforzheimer Straße, all the way to the Buchenbronn town hall. This project, approximately 800 meters long, is part of a larger initiative to improve and expand the existing fiber optic network in the area.
The company spearheading this expansion in Buchenbronn is Deutsche Glasfaser. After the start of construction on the Westring, work on Pforzheimer Straße will commence. The construction period on Pforzheimer Straße is scheduled to end in late September 2023.
During construction, traffic on Pforzheimer Straße will be regulated by a construction traffic light. Half-lane closures will be implemented, leading to traffic restrictions. To facilitate smooth movement of vehicles, a detour has been set up. Access to the Pforzheimer Straße will not be possible at the height of individual construction phases.
The construction work on Pforzheimer Straße is being carried out by Pforzheim Stadtwerke, with the aim of enhancing the town's digital infrastructure. The project is related to the fiber optic network, ensuring that Buchenbronn remains connected in the digital age.
Residents and commuters are advised to plan their journeys accordingly and adhere to the traffic regulations during this period. The construction work is expected to continue until September 2023, contributing to a more robust and extensive fiber optic network in Buchenbronn.
