Construction plans for approximately one hundred streets in the Kuramis and Akjar districts within Nauryzbay district announced
In the heart of Almaty, the Nauryzbai District is undergoing significant changes as part of the "New Almaty" program. Here are some of the transformations taking place:
- Around 100 streets are being constructed in the Kuramys and Akjar microdistricts, aiming to improve connectivity in the area.
- The pedestrian passage in the Akjar microdistrict has proven to be a game-changer, significantly reducing travel time for residents like Aigul Manasheva, a mother of two, who is delighted with the shorter and safer route to school.
- Under the 'Almaty-2025' program, 6 projects totalling 300 million tenge have been approved, with 18 business projects also receiving support in 2020.
- The city's first industrial park has been opened, offering production facilities for rent to businessmen. Currently, there are 10 facilities producing stationery, furniture, and haberdashery in the park.
The district's infrastructure is also seeing improvements. In 2020, 35 streets with sidewalks were repaired, and a pedestrian passage was opened in the Akjar microdistrict. It's planned to provide 100% lighting for all streets, including alleys and garden plots, in the Nauryzbai District.
The "Budget Participation" project is playing a crucial role in these improvements, with district residents actively involved in shaping the social infrastructure. The project has led to the construction of children's playgrounds, workout areas, and sports zones.
Meryurt Melis, chief specialist of the Nauryzbai District akimat department, mentioned the creation of 5 parks and 5 green zones as part of these developments. The aim is to create a favorable environment for residents and eliminate the imbalance between the annexed districts and the city center.
Nurbol Beisekov, head of the Nauryzbai District akimat department, oversaw the change of the configuration of one state act and the land plot to create the pedestrian passage on Tolebekov Street, previously a dead end.
These projects are part of the "New Almaty" program, which includes road repair, lighting, construction of kindergartens, schools, and extensions to them as main tasks. The program aims to create a more balanced cityscape, benefiting both residents and businesses in the district.
While specific information about the companies renting production facilities in the first industrial park of the city in 2020 isn't available, it's clear that the Nauryzbai District is on the path to significant growth and development. With around 7,000 entrepreneurs registered in the area, most engaged in trade, the future looks promising for this vibrant district.
