In the upcoming races at Thirsk, several noteworthy changes and contenders are set to make their mark.

Trainer Jack Jones has chosen Thirsk's race for his Group 2 Betfred Champagne Stakes entry, Rogue Messiah. After a successful debut last month, Eddy Greatrex, who has ridden a winner from two rides for Jones, takes over from Kieran Shoemark on Rogue Messiah.

Meanwhile, in the Group 3 Unibet Sirenia Stakes (3.10), Charlie Appleby aims to win for the third time with Beckford's Folly. The horse, ridden by Oisin Murphy for his all-weather debut after two wins on Newmarket's July course, has won his last two starts. James Doyle was the rider of Beckford's Folly at his all-weather debut in the Unibet Sirenia Stakes.

Chicory, one of only two other last-time-out winners in the Sirenia Stakes, proved her form with a successful outing at Newbury after a disappointing debut at Windsor. Ed Walker is encouraged to enter Chicory in the Sirenia Stakes as it can be a weak Group 3.

Aidan O'Brien has entrusted Freya Frain to partner Cactus in the feature 6f race at Navan, while she could also ride Cactus in the Thirsk race if plans change. On the other hand, Sean Dylan Bowen has been booked to ride for Godolphin and Saeed bin Suroor for the first time in the 1m1½f maiden (6.12) on Dancingintherain.

The race for the 7f fillies' handicap (4.00) could see Jim Goldie's horse Jannas Journey take her strike-rate for the trainer to 60 per cent if completing a six-timer. The second-placed Mezcala, who finished half a length in front of Dancingintherain, went on to land a Lingfield maiden on his next outing. The winner of Dancingintherain's third has defied a penalty to give upwards of 5lb and a three-quarter length beating to 12 rivals at Southwell on his next start.

In the opening seller (4.12), Alex Chadwick, who has ridden three winners from four rides at Stratford this season, partners Laser Focus.

Finally, Rogue Messiah attempts to defy a 7lb penalty in Thirsk's feature 6f novice race (3.25). The third-placed horse from Dancingintherain's debut, Alla Stella, went on to be third in a Curragh Group 3.
