In a closely contested Bundesliga top game, SC Magdeburg emerged victorious against a struggling SG Berlin, securing a 39-32 victory. The Berliners, who have been in turmoil following the unprecedented double dismissal of sports director Stefan Kretzschmar and coach Jaron Siewert, put up a dismal performance.
The newly appointed coach, Nicolej Krickau, faced his forgettable debut against SC Magdeburg, shortly after taking over from Jaron Siewert. Despite the team's efforts, they found themselves trailing by 12 goals at one point during the second half.

Before the game, Stefan Kretzschmar had called on the Berlin fans to stand united behind the team. However, during the match, chants for the fired coach, Jaron Siewert, could be heard from the stands.
