Cops apprehended individuals linked to the robbery of expensive necklaces
In the heart of Wolfsburg, two incidents of robbery have shaken the city's residents. According to the latest reports from Polizei Wolfsburg, transmitted via news aktuell, investigations regarding these incidents are ongoing.
On Wednesday, August 20, 2025, two separate robberies occurred in the City Center, specifically on Porschestraße. The first incident took place at 16:30, where an unknown young man snatched a 61-year-old man's gold chain. The suspect, after a loud altercation with two men aged 61 and 64, fled towards the City-Galerie. Two unknown persons attempted to aid the suspect in his escape.
Three hours later, at 19:45, a 34-year-old woman had her necklace snatched in the same location by a younger man. Her husband and two passersby, aged 30 and 47, gave chase but lost sight of the suspect near Rothenfelder Straße.
The suspect arrested on Wednesday, August 20, 2025, at 20:12 in Friedrich-Ebert-Straße matches the description of the first robbery suspect. The 20-year-old suspect was taken into custody by the local police department and is currently held at the city's detention center.

Interestingly, the description of the arrested suspect matches that of the robbery that occurred last Saturday. The arrested suspect was provisionally held at the Wolfsburg Police Station and spent the night there. However, it should be noted that the search for the suspects was initially unsuccessful.
The second incident occurred outside a travel agency in Porschestraße. Later in the evening, a 34-year-old woman's chains were snatched by a younger man in the entrance area of an ice cream parlor in the pedestrian zone. The 47-year-old passerby sustained minor injuries but did not require medical treatment during the chase.
In both incidents, the victims went to file a police report and encountered a patrol that took their statement and initiated a search for the suspects. Unfortunately, the search was unsuccessful until the arrest of the 20-year-old suspect.
The arrested suspect was released after the completion of police procedures. The investigations are ongoing, and the public is encouraged to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities to the local police department.
