Cost of electric cars lower in Krasnodar region
In the bustling Krasnodar region of Russia, the used car market is dominated by vehicles over a decade old, with the Nissan Leaf, Zeekr 001, and Tesla Model 3 being the most sought-after models in the used electric vehicle segment, accounting for 28.7%, 11%, and 10% of interest respectively.
While global electric car manufacturers such as Hyundai and Volkswagen dominate the international market, no major electric car manufacturers based in the Krasnodar region are of particular interest to private individuals at this time, with no public evidence of significant local production or availability of electric vehicles specifically for private buyers.
The average price of a new electric car in the region in 2025 was 4.9 million rubles, marking a 3.4% decrease from the previous year. The most affordable new electric model, the Amberauto A5, is priced at a more accessible 2.6 million rubles. On the used car market, the minimum price for an electric vehicle is recorded for the Nissan Leaf at 840,000 rubles.
Interestingly, unlike other southern regions, there are no seasonal peaks in interest in electric cars in the Krasnodar region. Instead, the peak interest in electric cars was in July of 2025, while in 2024 it was in February, and in 2023 it was in September.
Private individuals lead the number of listings in the region, accounting for 36.8%, followed by professional sellers (32.3%) and car dealerships (30.9%). On the secondary market, electric vehicles were offered at an average of 3.1 million rubles, a substantial 23.6% decrease from the previous year.
In the used electric car segment, cars priced under 1 million rubles are particularly popular. Users show the most interest in Nissan (29.4%), Zeekr (17.2%), and Tesla (15.6%). In the new electric car segment, the brands with the highest interest are Amberauto (17.5%), Zeekr (12.2%), and Evolute (11.7%).
From January to August 2025, interest in electric cars in the Krasnodar region, as reported by Avito Auto, has shown growth. In the new car segment, vehicles priced between 2-3 million and 5-8 million rubles are the most sought after. The most expensive new electric model in the region is the Avatr 11, priced at 7.6 million rubles, while the maximum price for an electric vehicle on the used market is recorded for the Porsche Taycan at 11.4 million rubles.
The growth in interest is particularly noticeable in the segment of new electric cars, with the Amberauto A5, Evolute i-PRO, and Hongqi E-HS9 being the top three new electric models. Vehicles aged 4-6 years also have high demand in the used car segment.
As the electric vehicle market continues to evolve, it will be interesting to see how the landscape in the Krasnodar region develops in the coming years.
