Councilman Ingo Brohl announces a new head for the local police station in Dinslaken, Germany.
New Police Chief Takes Over East Station in Dinslaken
Frank Marienfeldt, a seasoned veteran of the police force, has taken over as the head of the East Police Station in Dinslaken. This change was officially announced on August 19, 2025, by District Administrator Ingo Brohl.
Marienfeldt began his career with the Federal Border Guard in 1983. After a decade of service, he joined the police force of the state of North Rhine-Westphalia in 1990, initially working at the police station in Moers. Since then, he has spent a significant portion of his career in Wesel and Dinslaken, holding various positions within the Kreispolizeibehörde Wesel.
In 1997, Marienfeldt completed his studies for the higher police service. His extensive experience and qualifications made him the ideal candidate for leading the East Police Station, a role he has been fulfilling since May 1, 2025.
Before his appointment as the leader of the East Police Station, Marienfeldt gained policing experience in several cities within the region of Wesel, including stints as a patrol officer and in the investigations department in Wesel and Moers.
As the head of the East Police Station, Marienfeldt is the regional contact person for all police matters. Wolfgang Tühl, head of the Directorate of Danger Prevention/Deployment, stated that with Marienfeldt as the head of the East Police Station, the cities and municipalities in the area have a direct point of contact for all police matters.
Ingo Brohl emphasized that Marienfeldt's extensive experience makes him the ideal candidate for leading the police station. The East District includes the cities and municipalities of Dinslaken, Voerde, Hünxe, and Schermbeck.
In his free time, Marienfeldt enjoys building model trains. He is married and has two adult children.
