Recently, there have been reports of burglaries in neighbouring towns, Velbert and Langenfeld. Unknown perpetrators broke into a commercial building on Industriestraße in Velbert between May 9, 2025, at around 11:15 AM and May 12, 2025, at around 6:00 AM, and stole several brass pipes. In Langenfeld, unknown perpetrators broke into an office building on Albert-Einstein-Straße between May 9, 2025, at around 4:45 PM and May 12, 2025, at around 6:30 AM, and stole cash.
