Court Blocks Ex-Spouse: "Fear Was Overwhelming"

In a shocking turn of events, Stephan Hensel, co-plaintiff in the Hamburg Regional Court, has described a harrowing New Year's Eve attack from his perspective.

On the night of December 31, 2023/January 1, 2024, Hensel was at home in Denmark with his children, a ten-year-old son and a 13-year-old daughter. Suddenly, employees of an Israeli security firm allegedly abducted the children, according to the Hamburg Public Prosecutor's Office.

Hensel stated that he was terrified and thrown to the ground during the attack. Simultaneously, he heard his children screaming. Despite his attempts to resist, he received continuous blows and kicks during the assault.

The children were taken to their mother in Germany, but after a few days, they had to return to their father in Denmark following a court decision. The current paragraph does not provide any new information about the children having to return to their mother in Germany.

The indictment accuses Christina Block, the children's mother, of ordering the abduction. Block denies the accusations. The daughter of the founder of the "Block House" steakhouse chain, Eugen Block, is the accused in this case.

The interrogation of Stephan Hensel in the courtroom is set to continue on Wednesday. The accused, Christina Block, has also been questioned in relation to the case. The long custody dispute between the two parties began when the children were allegedly unlawfully retained by the father after a weekend visit.

As the case unfolds, Hensel and Block continue to face a challenging custody battle, with Hensel seeking justice and Block fighting to regain custody of her children. The children, meanwhile, remain at the centre of this emotional and complex legal battle.
