Court Grants Claim of Krasnoyarsk State Opera and Ballet Theater
The Krasnoyarsk State Opera and Ballet Theater, in partnership with the Hvorostovsky Krasnoyarsk Art Development Foundation, has filed a lawsuit against production center "A&A Worldwide OU" over an unsigned contract for the production of the opera "Don Juan, or the Chastened Libertine."
The claim, made in March 2021, was part of a cooperation agreement between the parties. However, A&A Worldwide OU has yet to sign the contract, which has led to a potential breach of the agreement. The non-signing of the contract has also put the subsequent production of the opera in uncertainty.
The contract with A&A Worldwide OU also stipulated the subsequent production of the opera after the trilateral agreement. This agreement, aimed at avoiding intellectual property issues, has not been concluded due to A&A Worldwide OU's non-participation.
The plaintiffs claim that this situation breaches the agreement, as the lack of a signed contract prevents the further screening of the opera. They have emphasized the importance of adhering to the terms of the contract and cooperation agreement in a recent statement. The statement was made in response to A&A Worldwide OU's failure to sign the contract.
The production group, named "Repertoire Partnership," was supposed to collaborate with A&A Worldwide OU on the opera. The breach of the agreement may potentially halt the production of the opera, causing a significant setback for the Krasnoyarsk State Opera and Ballet Theater and the Hvorostovsky Krasnoyarsk Art Development Foundation.
The plaintiffs are seeking a resolution to the issue and are hopeful that A&A Worldwide OU will sign the contract and facilitate the production of the opera "Don Juan, or the Chastened Libertine." The case is currently ongoing.
