In an unfortunate incident, a motorcyclist sustained serious injuries in a traffic accident that occurred on August 27, 2025, on county road 13 between Lübeck and Stockelsdorf.

According to the Police Directorate Lübeck, the accident took place around 15:20. The motorcyclist, a 61-year-old driver riding a Piaggio, lost control in a left-hand curve and veered off the road to the right into the ditch. The motorcycle was thrown back onto the road and was no longer roadworthy, leaking fluids and eventually being towed away.

The motorcyclist was taken to a nearby hospital with life-threatening injuries. The road was fully closed during the rescue operations.
