COVID-19 vaccinations are being administered on a voluntary basis at Clinic No. 4 in Almaty, as per the statement of its head physician.

City Polyclinic No4 in Almaty, Kazakhstan, is gearing up to play a significant role in the national vaccination campaign against COVID-19. Located in the Bostandyk district at Orbita-3 microdistrict, house 12, the clinic serves over 85,000 residents and is well-equipped to handle the vaccination drive.

Starting February 1, medical workers in infectious hospitals, emergency medical services, intensive care units, emergency rooms, and sanitarians will be the first to receive the vaccine. This initiative follows the Algorithm of Actions for Medical Workers Conducting COVID-19 Vaccination for Adults Over 18 Years Old.

City Polyclinic No4 will use the QazVac vaccine for COVID-19, with the supply expected to arrive in late October 2025. The clinic has ensured a cold chain from the producer to the consumer, and it has sufficient freezer capacity and thermocontainers with cold elements for transportation and storage.

From March 1, the vaccination programme will expand to include educators in general education schools, universities, and colleges, as well as medical service workers. In the third phase, starting April 1, educators in boarding schools and kindergartens, students, and individuals with chronic diseases will be vaccinated.

It is important to note that COVID-19 vaccination at City Polyclinic No4 is being conducted on a voluntary basis. Measures to protect against respiratory infections are ensured at the clinic.

However, there are contraindications for vaccination. These include hypersensitivity to any component of the vaccine or a vaccine containing similar components, severe allergic reactions in the past, acute infectious and non-infectious diseases, pregnancy and breastfeeding, and age under 18 years.

City Polyclinic No4 has prepared two vaccination rooms, each staffed with two doctors, two vaccinator nurses, and two registrars. The clinic is ready to contribute to the fight against COVID-19 and looks forward to serving its community in these challenging times.
