Creative Fused Glass Crafting Session for Holiday Decorations
Carlton Marshes visitor centre is hosting a fused glass workshop, offering participants the opportunity to create their own Christmas decorations. The event, led by experienced glass artist Marilyn, is suitable for beginners or those returning to the craft after a break.
The workshop will take place at the specified meeting point: invite.otter.holly. Participants are asked to bring clothes they don't mind getting dirty and to wear closed-toe shoes for safety reasons. Full-length aprons are recommended if participants have one.
During the workshop, Marilyn will guide participants through the process of creating their decorations. Her glasswork often features scenes of the natural world, including flowers, fungi, and small creatures, providing inspiration for the designs. Tea and coffee will be available throughout the course, as previously mentioned.
It's important to note that dogs must be kept on a lead at the reserve to protect wildlife and delicate habitats, in accordance with the Public Space Protection Order.
