Criminal apprehended in the act of burglary

In the early hours of Thursday morning, officers from the Minden-Lübbecke Police Department made a significant breakthrough in a series of break-ins that have been plaguing local businesses. Two suspects were arrested at the scene of a break-in at a bakery in Vlothoer Straße.

The arrests occurred around 3:30 AM, following a tip-off to the police emergency number 110. Officers initially spotted a person inside the store during their initial inspection of the building. A man was seen fleeing from the rear of the building during the inspection.

Upon apprehending the fleeing man, officers discovered that he was a 38-year-old individual. The older suspect was overpowered by officers shortly after. A second suspect, aged 35, was also arrested at the scene.

The suspects are believed to be responsible for break-ins at two bakery branches overnight. Investigators are examining a possible connection between the convenience store break-in and the previous bakery break-ins. Initial findings suggest that nothing was stolen in the convenience store break-in.

The suspects are described as being between 20 and 30 years old, about 1.60 to 1.65 meters tall, with short brown hair and an average build. The older suspect will be released from police custody later on Thursday after the completion of police measures. The Public Prosecutor's Office in Bielefeld submitted an application for a warrant for the arrest of the 35-year-old suspect on Thursday.

The arrests were made possible thanks to the vigilance of local residents. The police encourage anyone with information to continue to report suspicious activities to the emergency number 110. The Minden-LĂźbbecke Police Department is committed to apprehending those responsible for these break-ins and ensuring the safety of the community. The police are currently examining the evidence collected at the scene and interviewing the suspects to gather more information about their suspected involvement in the break-ins.
