Criminal in Bocholt fails to make a clean getaway, abandons stolen goods
In the heart of Bocholt, a break-in at a local business on Oststraße has left authorities searching for a suspect. The unknown individual, described as approximately 20 years old, around 1.70 meters tall, and having an athletic build, was seen fleeing the scene with a cash register.
According to reports, the individual climbed over a high fence on Pottmeyers Stiege before making a hasty escape. Two witnesses gave chase, but the suspect was startled and abandoned both the cash register and the e-scooter he was using, before running off.
The suspect was last seen wearing a black hoodie, light jeans, and black shoes. The Bocholt Criminal Investigation Department is urging anyone with information or who may have witnessed the incident to contact them at (02871) 2990.
In addition to the break-in on Oststraße, the Bocholt Criminal Investigation Department is also requesting additional witnesses to another incident. The details of this incident are not yet clear, but it is believed to have occurred in the area.
