Criminal Proceedings, Charges, Disparagements, and Executions: unraveling the fate of the "Temperature-Based Swindlers"
In the heart of Russia, a group known as "Oboyemy Moyshniki" (The Cheeky Conmen) rose to fame in the late 1990s, their unique blend of music and humour captivating audiences across the nation. The group's journey, however, was marked by significant changes and controversies.
The group's first concert took place on December 8, 1996, at the "Dancing City" festival in Cherepovets. Vyacheslav Zinurov, better known by his stage name Tom Chaos, was a pivotal member of the band. Born on October 20, 1971, in Leningrad, Zinurov's talent extended beyond music, as he composed music, choreography, and DJed under the pseudonym Tom Chaos.
Zinurov's entry into the group was facilitated by Klav MC, who introduced him to Sergei Suronenko and Igor Bogomazov. The trio formed a dynamic team, their chemistry resonating with their audience. However, by the mid-2000s, the group's popularity had declined sharply, and Garik Bogomazov left the group.
Igor Bogomazov, born on August 31, 1975, in Leningrad, was a key figure in the group. Prior to his music career, he worked as a taxi driver during the pandemic due to financial difficulties and had a debt of 7 million rubles in alimony. His relationship with his first wife, Yulia Nekrasova, is strained due to alimony disputes.
After Tom Chaos' death in 2022, Alexei Radchenko joined the group, but he left last year. Currently, Vadim Kovalenko is listed in the lineup. There is no public record of Igor Bogomazov officially reuniting with "Oboyemy Moyshniki" as a group after Sergei Amarlov contested the rights to the band name.
Amarlov, who accused Victoria Bogomazova of Zinurov's death in 2023, claimed that Zinurov never used the "Oboyemy Moyshniki" brand after leaving the group. However, in 2022, Zinurov accused Amarlov of cheating him on his fee for three years and sued him, but he was found dead on March 10, 2022, and many blamed Amarlov for his suicide. Since then, Amarlov has not made any public statements.
Yevgeny Orlov, who later became the producer of "The Cheeky Conmen" and "Guest from the Future", met Zinurov at a pioneer camp. Igor Bogomazov initially helped "The Cheeky Conmen" with their promotion. After leaving the group in 2011, Igor formed a group called Backdraft and participated in the "EuroShlager" festival in 1995.
Zinurov attended a music school for trumpet and later a vocational school to become a chef. He served in the army and began performing as a dancer in the group "Neon Boy" and playing in nightclubs before joining "Oboyemy Moyshniki". Igor Bogomazov's parents were a factory director and an entrepreneur.
Igor Bogomazov's second wife, Victoria, helped him overcome his alcohol addiction. After Tom Chaos' death, she continued to support the group, helping to keep the legacy of "Oboyemy Moyshniki" alive. Despite the challenges and controversies, the group remains a significant part of Russian pop culture, a testament to the enduring power of music and camaraderie.
