Criminals in custody due to burglary.
On Tuesday, October 29, a four-person group went on a shoplifting spree, stealing cigarettes from an Aldi store in Fronhausen. The incident was initially reported at the Aldi store on Im Boden street.
A witness notified the police about the suspicious activities, leading to the immediate arrival of police units. The police helicopter was also called in to aid in the search for the fugitive.
The stolen cigarettes, estimated to be worth around 3,000 euros, were found in a VW. Two people aged 35 and 34 were arrested at the Aldi store in Hachborn, while another person fled upon the arrival of the police and was later found and arrested around 8:15 PM. The two suspects arrested around this time were aged 27 and 59.
All four suspects are currently in police custody, and the investigations against them for banditry are now underway. According to Scholz, around 5:30 PM, the group was at the Aldi store in Hachborn, where they were noticed by a witness. An informant who notified the police about the likely second burglary by the thieves at the Aldi store on Hachborner StraΓe on October 29 was a customer.
