The Australia A and India A squads have been announced for the upcoming series, set to take place in India later this month.

For the one-day matches, the Australia A squad features some exciting young talents. Jake Fraser-McGurk, who enjoyed a breakout IPL campaign in 2024, headlines the list. Lachie Shaw, a wicketkeeper, and the bowlers Sam Elliott, Todd Murphy, Tanveer Sangha, Liam Scott, Tom Straker, and Callum Vidler complete the team.

In the red-ball squad, Sam Konstas, Nathan McSweeney, Cooper Connolly, and Todd Murphy have been named. The batters for the multi-day matches have not been specified yet.

On the Indian side, the India A squad for the red-ball series is led by Shreyas Iyer, who will captain the side in first-class cricket for the first time since 2018. Abhimanyu Easwaran, B Sai Sudharsan, Devdutt Padikkal, Ayush Badoni, KL Rahul, N Jagadeesan (wicketkeeper), Dhruv Jurel (vice-captain and wicketkeeper), Harsh Dubey, Nitish Kumar Reddy, Tanush Kotian, Manav Suthar, Prasidh Krishna, Gurnoor Brar, Khaleel Ahmed, Yash Thakur, and Mohammed Siraj make up the rest of the squad.

KL Rahul and Mohammed Siraj will join the India A squad after the first of two first-class matches. Sai Sudharsan, Devdutt Padikkal, Dhruv Jurel, Nitish Kumar Reddy, and Prasidh Krishna are among the five other Test cricketers named in the India A squad.

The four-day matches will be played in Lucknow from September 16 and September 23. The three one-dayers will be held in Kanpur on September 30, October 3, and October 5.

As of now, the players replacing the Indian One-Day team for the match against Australia A on September 30 in Kanpur have not been officially announced.
