According to the information transmitted by the Kreispolizeibehörde Wesel, the 77-year-old driver from Schermbeck was traveling on Hünxer Straße and turned right onto the Schermbecker Landstraße (B58). While turning, the driver collided with a 64-year-old cyclist on the B58's bike path.

The cyclist sustained serious injuries in the collision and was transported to a hospital via ambulance. The name of the driver involved in the accident is not disclosed in the available sources.
