Cyclists Disregarded in LPI-SHL Report, Highlighting Neglected Group
In the city of Suhl, an unfortunate accident occurred on Sunday evening, involving a motorcyclist and a car. According to a report by news aktuell, the incident took place at the intersection of Ilmenau Street and Martin-Andersen-Nexø Street.
The motorcyclist, who was turning left from Ilmenau Street onto Martin-Andersen-Nexø Street, had the right of way. However, a 72-year-old driver, who was turning left from Martin-Andersen-Nexø Street onto Ilmenau Street, failed to yield, resulting in a collision.
As a result of the collision, the motorcyclist sustained severe injuries and was taken to the hospital by ambulance. The total damage from the collision was approximately 9,000 euros.
