The Traffic Department of the South Hesse Police Headquarters has announced that they will be conducting speed checks across various roads and motorways during the 37th calendar week of 2025. These checks are part of a larger initiative to ensure road safety and adherence to speed limits.

The speed checks will primarily take place on speed hazard routes and accident hotspots, with the cooperation of the Police Inspectorate Nordsaarland. The B43a road, towards Dieburg, before the Hanau Harbour junction, has been identified as a continuous speed hazard route for checks.

On Monday, 8 September, speed checks will be conducted on the A66 motorway, towards Fulda, at the Bad Soden-Salmünster junction. The following day, on Tuesday, 9 September, speed checks will be conducted on the same B43a road, towards Dieburg, before the Hanau Harbour junction.

Thursday, 11 September, will see speed checks being conducted on the L3196 road, Majoß towards Steinau, which has recently become an accident hotspot. On the same day, speed checks will also be conducted on the L3202 road, Gelnhausen towards Bernbach, but the exact locations for these checks were not specified in the report.

Friday, 12 September, will see speed checks on the K174 road, Dietzenbach towards Rodgau, between Waldacker and Rodgau-Ring-Straße. This location has been identified due to its new wildlife population.

The speed checks on the A66 motorway will be at a noise protection area, while those on the B43a road are on a speed hazard route. On Saturday, 13 September, and Sunday, 14 September, the B43a road, towards Dieburg, before the Hanau Harbour junction, will continue to be a speed hazard route for checks.

These speed checks are being carried out by the Traffic Department of the South Hesse Police Headquarters and are coordinated with the Police Inspectorate Nordsaarland during the 37th calendar week of 2025. Motorists are advised to drive responsibly and adhere to the speed limits to ensure their safety and the safety of others on the roads.
