Calgary's Deerfoot Inn & Casino was abuzz with excitement this week as the 2025 Summer Super Stack took centre stage. The action-packed event saw multiple tournaments unfold, with notable wins and close calls.
In the $340 PLO Bounty tournament, Mike Malm emerged victorious, pocketing $5,495 in prize money and an additional $1,700 in bounties. Viet D finished as runner-up, earning $3,968. The tournament, which drew 110 entries and boasted a prize pool of $20,350, offered $100 bounties on every knockout, adding an extra layer of excitement to the proceedings.
Meanwhile, the $280 turbo NLH tournament concluded in nine hours, with Ramaz Haymour taking the top spot. Haymour secured $4,500 from the main pot after defeating Mohsen Shafizadeh in the final match. In a heads-up agreement, Haymour also received an additional $441. Mike Malm and Haymour are now ones to watch in the Main Event's Day 2 due to their recent wins and momentum.

Day 1B of the 2025 Summer Super Stack attracted 196 entries, bringing the total to 329. Dave S leads Day 1B with 650,000 chips, followed closely by Doug Lee with 631,000.
