In a tragic turn of events, a fatal collision occurred on the Autostrad highway in Egypt's capital on Tuesday evening. The crash involved a marble-laden truck, a passenger bus, and two cars, resulting in three fatalities and seven injuries.

The collision took place near the entrance to the highway from Helwan toward Saqr Quraysh. According to reports, the truck driver lost control before striking the other vehicles, causing them to crumple. The public prosecution has launched an investigation into the circumstances of the crash, but no new information regarding the cause has been provided.

The crash resulted in a chaotic scene as emergency services rushed to the scene to provide aid. Two victims were taken to Al Basateen Hospital, while the injured were transported to nearby hospitals for treatment. Tragically, a third body was recovered hours later from beneath the wreckage.

The bodies of the deceased were transferred to local morgues, and traffic was brought to a standstill for several hours due to the accident. Civil defence teams worked diligently to clear the wreckage and restore traffic flow.

The collision involved Jordanian children, but no further information is provided about their identities or the number of injuries among them. The public prosecution's investigation is ongoing regarding the cause of the accident, and no details about the identity of the truck driver involved have been released as of yet.
