Deadly Car Crash Occurs on Roadway L 560
In an unfortunate incident, a traffic accident occurred on Friday afternoon around 1:20 PM on state road L 560 between Oberhausen-Rheinhausen and Neulußheim.
The County Fire Association Karlsruhe District is handling the incident, with a total of 42 personnel and 12 vehicles from fire departments in Oberhausen-Rheinhausen, Neulußheim, and Altlußheim, as well as six police patrol cars, being present at the scene.
The accident involved a car and a truck, and rescue services from both Karlsruhe and Rhein-Neckar districts were involved in the operation. A rescue helicopter, a doctor's emergency vehicle, and two ambulances were used to attend to the injured.
Unfortunately, the driver of the car, aged 55, was fatally injured and trapped in the vehicle. The deputy county fire chief from the Karlsruhe district, Bertram Maier, was present at the incident site.
The state road between Oberhausen and Neulußheim was closed for all traffic during the rescue and cleanup operations. The website for the County Fire Association Karlsruhe District is http://www.kfv-ka.de.
