News Article: Willo Perron Unveils Modular Furniture Collection at Matter and Shape Fair in Paris

Willo Perron, the renowned creative director and co-founder of LA-based creative studio Perron-Roettinger, is set to unveil his latest collaboration with Swedish gallery and design brand No-Ga at the Matter and Shape fair in Paris.

The collection, which includes modular tables and wall-mounted mirrors, draws inspiration from Brutalist architecture. The wall-mounted mirrors, in particular, reflect this influence with their minimalist design and strong, geometric shapes.

Perron's approach to design aligns with his worldview that champions flexibility in both the creative and domestic spheres. This is evident in the collection's modular system, which allows for scalability. Individuals can start with a single piece and build upon it in the future, making the collection adaptable to smaller household scales.

The tables in the collection are made from cast glass fibre and come in various shapes, sizes, and heights. They are designed to be arranged in different configurations depending on the dimensions of the space. The collection's pieces all share a single cuboid form with rounded corners, creating a cohesive aesthetic.

The tables come in several coordinating shapes, sizes, and heights, offering a range of options for consumers. Additionally, they are available in colours ranging from oxblood red to mint green, providing further customisation.

Perron serves as creative director for the Matter and Shape fair in Paris, and the setting for the annual design show was designed by him. This year's fair will take place in Paris's Jardin des Tuileries.

Perron's modular system aims to break down spaces and use them in a hybrid way, so the collection can grow. This approach reflects Perron's philosophy of democratizing high-quality design, making it accessible to a wider audience.

In addition to his work with No-Ga, Perron has designed sets for Rihanna's performance at the 2023 Super Bowl, as well as sets for artists like Beyoncé and Sam Smith, and fashion show concepts for brands including Chanel.

The Matter and Shape fair, which runs from the 11th to the 13th of this month, promises to be an exciting event, showcasing the latest in contemporary design. Visitors will have the opportunity to see Perron's collection in person and experience the innovative fusion of function and aesthetics that characterises his work.
