HAMBURG, Germany – Premium gin brand Bombay Sapphire has unveiled a limited glass collection and exclusive drinks to celebrate the 10th anniversary of its distillery in Laverstoke Mill, England. The one-of-a-kind glasses, designed by Thomas Heatherwick of Heatherwick Studio, reflect the architectural mastery of the greenhouses at the distillery, combining nature and human craftsmanship.
The new glass collection showcases Bombay Sapphire's commitment to sustainability, demonstrated through its use of certified sustainable botanicals, a waste-free distillery powered by 100% renewable energy, and a fully recyclable blue bottle. The unique glasses are a tribute to the harmony of nature and human creativity that defines the Laverstoke Mill distillery.
"Ten years ago, BOMBAY SAPPHIRE enabled us to create a sustainable design that was awarded BREEAM Outstanding," emphasizes Heatherwick. "We transformed an old paper mill into a distillery that puts nature at its heart, building greenhouses to utilize waste heat and grow botanicals."
The iconic Laverstoke Mill distillery, known for its distinctive global architecture, has housed Bombay Sapphire for a decade, with its impressive greenhouses at its center. In honor of the anniversary, the limited glass collection, once again designed by Heatherwick, represents the spirit of the distillery's philosophy.
The collection serves as inspiration for new cocktails inspired by sustainability and the botanicals used in Bombay Sapphire. In Germany, two bars have joined the celebration, with Le Lion in Hamburg and the Green Door Bar in Berlin presenting exclusive cocktails inspired by the limited glass collection. These special drinks will be available from February 1st to 28th.
