Dedication ceremony of a church marks a week of events, starting from beer festivities and concluding with a car accident.
The small Bavarian town of Stadeln, located in the northern part of FĂźrth, will be hosting its annual Kirchweih festival from August 28 to September 2, 2025. This much-anticipated event promises a week filled with music, parades, and traditional celebrations.
The festivities will kick off on Thursday, August 28, with a beer tasting and SchlachtschĂźssel in the courtyard of the Catholic church. The evening will be graced by the performance of Roland and "The Moonlights."
On Friday, August 29, the Kirchweih youth will parade through the town, and in the evening, the Rothsee Musikanten will entertain the crowd at the Kirchweih. The small Kirchweih tree will be set up on this day.
The weekend begins with a FrĂźhschoppen event on Saturday, featuring a Kirchweih float award ceremony. The highlight of the day will be the performance of "Die Stodlrocker" for dancing. In the evening, the big Kirchweih tree will be set up, and the festivities will continue late into the night.
On Sunday, the highlight is the ecumenical service with the Stadeln brass band. Afterwards, a grand parade of Stadeln's clubs will take place. The Kirchweih Contest will occur, followed by music by "Franken Bengel." In the afternoon, a seniors' gathering, a children's event with discounted ride prices, and festival tent operation with "Gipfelgaudi" will take place.
Monday is another day of celebration, starting with all-day music by "Franken Mix" at the Frßhschoppen event. The awarding of the Kärwazug and the traditional Betzntanz of the Kärwaburschen and -Madli will take place during the day. The event will conclude with the "Rumspiel" by the Kirchweih boys.
The symbolic "Kirchweih burial" occurs at around 10 pm on Tuesday. The festivities will continue with traditional dancing by the Kirchweih boys and girls. The event will come to an end on September 2, 2025.
