Ukraine's 425th Separate Assault Regiment Regains Control of Zarichne in Donetsk Oblast

In a significant development, Ukraine's 425th Separate Assault Regiment Skelia has successfully regained full control over the village of Zarichne, located within the Lyman hromada in Donetsk Oblast. The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine announced the news on their Facebook page, sharing a video that showed a Ukrainian flag flying over a destroyed building in Zarichne.

The village of Zarichne, almost completely destroyed, is a part of the administrative unit designating a collection of villages. The liberation of Zarichne comes as a significant victory for Ukraine's defence forces in the ongoing conflict in eastern Ukraine.

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy expressed his gratitude for the troops' efforts and urged the European Union to stop buying energy from Russia. He stated that Russian President Vladimir Putin is avoiding meeting with him by asking him to come to Moscow.

The President of Ukraine also made the common expression of patriotism in Ukraine, "Glory to Ukraine!", in relation to the liberation of Zarichne.

Meanwhile, the European Commission has revealed details of talks on sanctions against Russia that are scheduled to take place in Washington. The talks are expected to discuss the ongoing conflict in Ukraine and the potential impact of further sanctions on Russia.
