Delivers Top 100 Million Eco-Friendly Packages Nationwide in India by Yulu

In a significant stride towards a greener and more sustainable future, Yulu, a shared EV mobility brand, has surpassed 100 million green deliveries across India. This milestone has brought Yulu closer to its goal of making cities cleaner and more liveable.

Amit Gupta, co-founder and CEO of Yulu, highlighted that making mobility better every day is a business principle at Yulu. He further emphasised that what's equally gratifying is the positive impact Yulu has had on sustainable livelihoods.

Yulu's operations in the last-mile delivery sector have opened up new employment and earning opportunities in the gig economy, supporting countless sustainable livelihoods across the country. By enabling 30-40% higher savings for delivery partners compared to petrol vehicles, Yulu's operations have significantly reduced CO2 emissions in this sector.

To assist delivery-based businesses like Swiggy, Zomato, Blinkit, and others in meeting their fleet electrification goals, Yulu offers its DeX NV and DeX GR electric scooters. Both scooters are based on the same platform with similar underpinnings and are designed to cater to the needs of urban environments, with a top speed of 25 kmph.

The DeX NV can carry up to 10 kg of payload, while the DeX GR can accommodate 5 kg extra. Yulu's ease of business structure enables companies to easily hire riders without vehicles or driver's licenses, increasing ride uptime.

Last-mile deliveries account for half of all e-commerce delivery-related emissions. With over 25 million kilogrammes of CO2 emissions saved in the last-mile delivery sector due to Yulu's operations, companies can speedily achieve their sustainability goals with Yulu's EV fleet.

Yulu's operations in cities like Bengaluru, Mumbai, Delhi, and Gurugram consist of 30,000 electric two-wheelers. The CO2 footprint in the last-mile delivery sector is expected to reach 8 million tonnes by 2030. Yulu claims that its fleet of EVs for this sector will help accelerate decarbonisation, contributing significantly to liveable cities.

Amit Gupta mentioned that this latest milestone brings Yulu closer to its goal of cleaner and more liveable cities. He also stated that making mobility cleaner is a stated goal at Yulu. With continued efforts and innovative solutions like the DeX NV and DeX GR electric scooters, Yulu is set to revolutionise the last-mile delivery sector in India.
