Quiqup Raises $5.5 Million in Investment Round to Expand Dubai-Based Delivery Services

Dubai-based logistics startup Quiqup has secured $5.5 million in an investment round, led by Delivery Hero, with additional participation from Cedar Mundi, Jobi Capital, Trasnmed, Insight Partners, and Yam Capital. This latest funding round marks a significant step forward for Quiqup, which originally started in London and has previously raised over $35 million.

Quiqup provides on-demand, same-day, and scheduled delivery solutions for retailers and restaurants in Dubai, having moved its headquarters to the city in 2017. The startup expanded to the United Arab Emirates in the same year with its Dubai launch, and it shut down its United Kingdom operations in early 2019.

The order pick-up process is completed within 15 minutes, and delivery takes place within 50 minutes, ensuring swift and efficient service for businesses. Quiqup's pay-as-you-go model charges businesses for every delivered order, making it an attractive option for companies of all sizes.

Offline retailers can book same-day deliveries through Quiqup's dashboard and have the option for scheduled deliveries. Online retailers can offer same-day delivery to customers by integrating Quiqup's API's into their websites or apps. Restaurants can also book an on-demand courier through Quiqup's dashboard or API integrations, making food delivery a seamless process.

Currently, Quiqup has a fleet of over 3,000 couriers serving more than 800 businesses in Dubai. This latest investment is not a down round for Quiqup, indicating the continued confidence of investors in the startup's growth potential.

With this new funding, Quiqup aims to further expand its delivery network, improve its technology, and continue to innovate in the logistics space. The startup's move to Dubai has been strategic, as the city is a hub for e-commerce and logistics in the Middle East, providing a fertile ground for Quiqup's growth.

In conclusion, Quiqup's $5.5 million investment round is a significant milestone for the Dubai-based logistics startup. With its efficient delivery solutions, pay-as-you-go model, and strong investor backing, Quiqup is well-positioned to continue its growth and make a significant impact in the logistics industry.
