City Considers Relocation: Detmold on the Move

Detmold is relocating.

Get ready for an exciting summer in Detmold and the Lippe district! The "Park Sports" program, a collaborative effort between the Lippe County Sports Association, the city portal, the North Rhine-Westphalia State Sports Association, the Detmold Sports Association, AOK NordWest, and numerous sports clubs, is set to bring over 80 events to the region.

Whether you're a fitness enthusiast, a newcomer to sports, or simply looking for a new experience, everyone is welcome to join. No club membership or prior registration is required, making it an inclusive event for all.

The "Park Sports" program will take place from July 14 to August 26, 2025, and will see the city of Detmold join forces with local clubs such as Detmolder Sportverein, CVJM Pivitsheide, Sandokai Detmold, and TV 09 Pivitsheide.

Activities on offer include fitness classes, martial arts, Latin dance fitness, hula hoop, family offerings, and inclusive ball games, all led by experienced instructors and held outdoors, free of charge.
