The Zabaykalsky Krai, a region situated in eastern Russia, is not on the list of regions with the most expensive gasoline prices. However, the affordability of fuel in this region is still a concern, as the average salary in the Zabaykalsky Krai does not stretch as far with the current diesel fuel prices.

According to recent data, the average price of diesel fuel in the Zabaykalsky Krai is 83.42 rubles per liter. This cost is higher than the average cost in other regions of Russia, making it a significant financial burden for residents.

In contrast, gasoline prices in Yakutia, Sakhalin, and Kamchatka are higher than in the Zabaykalsky Krai. These regions are among the regions with the most expensive gasoline prices, with Yakutia holding the title for the most expensive.

Despite not being among the most expensive for gasoline, diesel fuel in the Zabaykalsky Krai remains expensive. This has led to a situation where a resident can buy a certain amount of gasoline with an average salary, according to analysts. However, this amount is fewer gasoline purchases compared to other regions.

The Zabaykalsky Krai was not included in the Russian regions with the most expensive gasoline prices for July 2025, according to research agency "Promreyting" and data from Rosstat. However, the high cost of diesel fuel in the region is a matter of concern.

Interestingly, the Zabaykalsky Krai is not mentioned in German price rankings for gasoline but is noted for its high diesel price. This highlights the regional discrepancies in fuel prices within Russia.

In conclusion, while the Zabaykalsky Krai may not be among the regions with the most expensive gasoline prices, the high cost of diesel fuel is a significant concern for its residents. This discrepancy in fuel prices within Russia underscores the need for a comprehensive approach to fuel pricing and affordability across the country.
