Cryptocurrency wallet Trust Wallet introduces tokenized stock and ETF trading options, making these financial assets accessible to over 200 million users globally.

Digital asset management platform, Trust Wallet, now offers tokenized stocks and ETFs to its user base of over 200 million globally.

Trust Wallet, a popular self-custody Web3 wallet with over 200 million users, has taken a significant step towards a more inclusive financial future by launching tokenized Real-World Assets (RWAs). This move allows users worldwide to gain exposure to iconic stocks and ETFs directly within Trust Wallet, without the need for a bank account, brokerage, or intermediary.

The launch of RWAs is powered by Ondo's tokenized assets and is available on Trust Wallet, starting with Ethereum. Ondo Finance, one of the third-party partners providing tokenized RWAs for Trust Wallet, announced the launch of tokenized real-world securities for use in Trust Wallet.

Trust Wallet's tokenized RWAs are enabled by smart contracts and are designed to reflect the underlying asset's price. These RWAs are blockchain-based representations of real-world financial instruments, subject to market risk, and available only in certain regions. However, it's important to note that RWAs are not available for purchase or sale in the United States, the United Kingdom, or the European Union, and may not be offered, sold, or delivered to any "U.S. Person."

Holding RWAs may result in legal and practical consequences for U.S. Persons, including being required to return the asset, not being able to resell it, or holding a contract or asset that is void or unenforceable. Trust Wallet's RWA offerings are subject to terms and conditions and risk disclosures provided by the third parties powering these offerings.

Trust Wallet aims to build the first Web3 neo bank, offering a wide range of financial tools including tokenized asset exposure, staking, swaps, onchain identity, and more. The expansion of RWA offerings reflects a bigger shift towards a financial system that provides equal opportunities for everyone.

To facilitate seamless interactions with RWAs, Trust Wallet has integrated 1inch Swap API. Users can buy, sell, and swap RWAs securely within the Trust Wallet app. The launch of tokenized RWAs was announced via Trust Wallet's YouTube channel.
