The Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MOHRE) has partnered with e& money to modernize wage disbursement for domestic workers in the United Arab Emirates. This partnership is a significant step towards a secure, cashless, and inclusive digital economy in the UAE.

The initiative, designed to safeguard worker rights while simplifying salary management for households, aims to make salary management more efficient and, most importantly, more inclusive. The collaboration integrates MOHRE's advanced Wage Protection System (WPS) APIs with the e& money platform, enabling employers to manage and transfer salaries for registered domestic workers seamlessly and in compliance with existing labour legislation.

Employers, after registration through the designated MOHRE services section, can view their workers' details pre-filled within the e& money platform. This streamlined process ensures accurate, fast, and fully compliant payments. Individuals employing domestic workers can access wage protection services directly via the e& money app.

Dalal Alshehhi, Acting Assistant Undersecretary for Labour Protection at MOHRE, stated that the partnership reflects MOHRE's ongoing commitment to safeguarding workers' rights. Melike Kara, CEO of e& money, added that the collaboration is about innovating financial accessibility to empower workers, support businesses, and foster trust across the financial ecosystem.

The partnership will ensure broader access to regulated and secure financial services, guaranteeing timely salary payments for domestic workers. This partnership is part of the UAE's transition towards a secure, cashless, and inclusive digital economy, democratizing access to secure and seamless financial services that enhance the quality of life for everyone.

The initiative is a testament to the UAE's dedication to the well-being of its workforce and its commitment to digital transformation. With this partnership, the UAE continues to set an example for other nations in creating a secure, efficient, and inclusive digital economy.
